Winter Boat Fishing on the River Mersey

IT IS WITH REGRET THAT I HAVE TO ANNOUNCE THAT THIS WINTERS COD FISHING SEASON ON THE MERSEY IS CANCELLED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE!

For the winter boat fishing season we will be running the boat from our mooring in Liverpool Marina. our charter boat fishing trips on the Mersey are approximately 9 hours long and depart from the new charter berths at Liverpool Marina. This means that we can get you fishing quicker from the boat with less time spent on steaming to the Mersey fishing marks.

Our fishing boat is fully licensed to carry 12 anglers and 2 crew up to 60 miles offshore. In practice though we normally limit the fishing to 8 anglers for comfort.

Boat fishing on the Mersey has traditionally been excellent; and at it's best in the winter months. The Wirral peninsula affords us some excellent protection from the worst of the prevailing westerly weather, meaning we can fish far more frequently than we could if we were on the exposed North Wales coast.

Fish caught through the winter season on the River Mersey include, Cod, and Codling, Rays, Whiting, Dabs and fluke.
